J.- Q. Liang, L. Maharana, H.J.W. Mueller-Kirsten

TL;DR
This paper investigates the role of the Wess-Zumino term in spin tunneling, deriving a formula for energy level splitting in large fermionic spins under an applied magnetic field.
Contribution
It introduces a new formula linking the Wess-Zumino term to energy level splitting in spin tunneling with magnetic fields.
Findings
Derived a formula for energy level splitting involving the Wess-Zumino term.
Highlighted the importance of the Wess-Zumino term in quantum spin tunneling.
Analyzed the effect of magnetic fields on fermionic spin systems.
Abstract
The significance of the Wess--Zumino term in spin tunneling is explored, and a formula is established for the splitting of energy levels of a particle with large fermionic spin as an applied magnetic field is switched on.
