Dipole-dipole interaction of Josephson diamagnetic moments
Sergei A. Sergeenkov

TL;DR
This paper investigates how dipole-dipole interactions between Josephson diamagnetic moments influence the critical current, revealing orientation-dependent 0 and π junction behaviors in a model of coupled superconducting clusters.
Contribution
It introduces a model analyzing dipole interactions between Josephson moments in coupled clusters, predicting orientation-dependent junction behavior.
Findings
Critical current sign depends on cluster orientation.
Both 0 and π junction behaviors are possible.
Model suggests experimental verification is feasible.
Abstract
The role of dipole-dipole interaction between Josephson diamagnetic moments is considered within a model system of two clusters (each cluster contains three weakly connected superconducting grains). The sign of the resulting critical current is shown to depend on the orientation between clusters, allowing for both 0 and type junctions behavior. The possibility of the experimental verification of the model predictions is discussed.
