Electronic Transport in La-Ca Manganites
M. Jaime, M.B. Salamon

TL;DR
This paper reviews the transport properties of La-Ca manganites, emphasizing high electron-phonon coupling and small polaron transport, supported by new experimental data.
Contribution
It provides a detailed analysis of charge transport mechanisms in La-Ca manganites, highlighting the role of electron-phonon interactions and presenting new experimental insights.
Findings
High electron-phonon coupling causes charge localization.
Small polaron transport dominates in these materials.
New data confirms the significance of electron-phonon interactions.
Abstract
We revisit the transport properties of La-Ca manganites in detail, since they have been confirmed in a number of CMR-exhibiting materials. We also discuss new data considered the hallmark of an unusually high electron-phonon coupling responsible for charge localization and small polaron transport.
