D.E. Logan, M.P.H. Stumpf

TL;DR
This paper provides an exact analysis of how a single hole moves at finite temperature in the t-J model in high dimensions, revealing a smooth transition from string-pinned to paramagnetic behavior.
Contribution
It offers a simple, exact solution for the finite-temperature hole dynamics in the t-J model in high dimensions, illustrating the thermal evolution of the string picture.
Findings
Continuous thermal evolution from T=0 to paramagnetic phase

Insight into string-pinned to paramagnetic transition
Abstract
We discuss the dynamics of a single hole in the t-J model at finite temperature, in the limit of large spatial dimensions. The problem is shown to yield a simple and physically transparent solution, that exemplifies the continuous thermal evolution of the underlying string picture from the T=0 string-pinned limit through to the paramagnetic phase.
