V. Tripathi, D. E. Khmelnitskii

TL;DR
This paper investigates the energy level statistics of a two-dimensional disc with diffusive boundary scattering using the ballistic nonlinear sigma-model, providing insights into quantum chaos and spectral properties.
Contribution
It introduces a novel application of the ballistic nonlinear sigma-model to analyze spectral statistics in a 2D disc with diffusive boundaries.
Findings
Energy level distributions characterized for the system.
Identification of spectral correlations influenced by boundary scattering.
Potential implications for quantum chaos in mesoscopic systems.
Abstract
We calculate the energy level statistics in a two-dimensional disc with diffusive boundary scattering by the means of the recently proposed ballistic nonlinear sigma-model.
