TL;DR
This paper investigates heat conduction in one-dimensional chains, emphasizing the role of phonon-lattice interactions in explaining Fourier's law through numerical analysis.
Contribution
It demonstrates that phonon-lattice interaction is key to understanding heat conduction in 1D chains, providing a comprehensive explanation for previous numerical findings.
Findings
Phonon-lattice interaction is crucial for Fourier heat law.
Numerical results align with the phonon-lattice interaction explanation.
Provides a unified understanding of heat conduction in 1D chains.
Abstract
We study numerically the thermal conductivity in several different one dimensional chains. We show that the phonon-lattice interaction is the main ingredient of the Fourier heat law. Our argument provides a rather satisfactory explanation to all existing numerical results concerning this problem.
