G. Wellein, B. B"auml, and H. Fehske

TL;DR
This paper investigates how hole-phonon interactions influence pairing mechanisms in the 2D Holstein t--J model, providing exact numerical results for binding energies and pairing susceptibilities.
Contribution
It offers the first exact diagonalization analysis of hole-phonon effects on pairing in the 2D Holstein t--J model.
Findings
Hole-phonon coupling enhances pairing tendencies.
Both s-wave and d-wave susceptibilities are affected.
Exact two-hole binding energies are computed.
Abstract
We examine the effects of hole-phonon interaction on the formation of hole pairs in the 2D Holstein t--J model. Using finite-lattice diagonalization techniques, we present exact results for the two-hole binding energy and the s-- and d-wave pairing susceptibilities.
