Geometric magnetism in classical transport theory
Jochen Rau (MPI-PKS Dresden)

TL;DR
This paper presents a straightforward derivation of geometric magnetism in classical transport theory using a Master equation framework for systems coupled to chaotic environments.
Contribution
It introduces a simple method to derive geometric magnetism effects in classical systems interacting with chaotic environments.
Findings
Derivation of geometric magnetism via Master equation
Simplified approach to classical transport phenomena
Insight into system-environment interactions
Abstract
The effective dynamics of a slow classical system coupled to a fast chaotic environment is described by means of a Master equation. We show how this approach permits a very simple derivation of geometric magnetism.
