TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that in a Luttinger liquid with finite-range interactions and an impurity, a sum rule causes the charging energy to vanish, significantly affecting non-linear dc transport properties.
Contribution
It introduces a sum rule that governs non-linear dc transport in Luttinger liquids with finite-range interactions and impurities, revealing the vanishing of charging energy.
Findings
Charging energy vanishes due to the sum rule.
Non-linear dc transport is governed by this sum rule.
Finite-range interactions significantly influence transport behavior.
Abstract
We show that the non-linear dc transport in a Luttinger liquid with interaction of finite range in the presence of an impurity is governed by a sum rule which causes the charging energy to vanish.
