DMRG study of ferromagnetism in a one-dimensional Hubbard model
S. Daul, R. Noack

TL;DR
This paper uses the DMRG method to investigate ferromagnetism in a 1D Hubbard model with specific hopping terms, revealing a broad ferromagnetic phase at finite density and interaction.
Contribution
It provides the first detailed DMRG analysis of ferromagnetism in this extended 1D Hubbard model with next-nearest neighbor hopping.
Findings
Large ferromagnetic region identified
Ferromagnetism occurs at finite density and interaction
Method demonstrates effectiveness for 1D correlated systems
Abstract
The one dimensional Hubbard model with nearest and (negative) next-nearest neighbour hopping has been studied with the density-matrix renormalization group (DMRG) method. A large region of ferromagnetism has been found for finite density and finite on-site interaction.
