Magnetic Oscillations and Maxwell Theory
Artur Sowa (Ph.D. Program in Mathematics, City University of New York)

TL;DR
This paper investigates how Kaluza-Klein geometry can modify Maxwell's classical electromagnetism, potentially explaining magnetic oscillations observed in metals.
Contribution
It introduces a novel approach using Riemannian submersions to alter Maxwell theory, linking geometric methods to electromagnetic phenomena.
Findings
Proposes a geometric modification to Maxwell's equations.
Suggests implications for magnetic oscillations in metals.
Highlights potential new insights into electromagnetism through geometry.
Abstract
We explore the possibility of using the Kaluza-Klein geometry of Riemannian Submersions to modify the classical Maxwell Theory. We further argue that the resulting modification of Electromagnetism may be interesting in the context of, among other topics, magnetic oscillations in metals.
