Microtubules: Montroll's kink and Morse vibrations
H.C. Rosu

TL;DR
This paper explores the connection between kink modes and vibrational degrees of freedom in microtubules using supersymmetric quantum mechanics and Morse potentials.
Contribution
It introduces a novel approach linking Montroll's kink to Morse vibrations in microtubules via supersymmetric quantum mechanics.
Findings
Establishes a theoretical connection between kink modes and vibrational states.
Proposes a model for microtubule dynamics based on Morse potential.
Suggests implications for understanding microtubule behavior at quantum levels.
Abstract
Using a version of Witten's supersymmetric quantum mechanics proposed by Caticha, we relate Montroll's kink to a traveling, asymmetric Morse double-well potential suggesting in this way a connection between kink modes and vibrational degrees of freedom along microtubules
