TL;DR
This paper investigates the statistical properties of holons and spinons within the t-J model using gauge theory, specifically employing Chern-Simons theory to analyze charge-spin separation phenomena.
Contribution
It introduces a gauge-theoretic approach to understand the statistics transmutation of holons and spinons in the t-J model's charge-spin separated phase.
Findings
Holons and spinons exhibit transmuted statistics due to gauge field effects
Chern-Simons gauge theory effectively describes the charge-spin separation
The framework provides insights into the quasiparticle behavior in strongly correlated systems
Abstract
We study the statistics of holons and spinons in the framework of the gauge theory. We start with the t-J model in the slave-boson formalism and use Chern-Simons gauge theory to study the statistics transmutation of quasiexcitations in the charge-spin separated phase.
