Jellium correction to the critical condition of cluster fission within a Liquid Drop Model
F. Despa

TL;DR
This paper investigates how Jellium correction affects the critical fission condition in charged metallic clusters using a Liquid Drop Model, especially for small multicharged clusters.
Contribution
It introduces a Jellium correction to the fissionability parameter within the Liquid Drop Model, refining the critical fission condition for small multicharged clusters.
Findings
Jellium correction significantly alters the fissionability parameter.
The correction is particularly relevant for small multicharged clusters.
The modified model improves understanding of cluster fission processes.
Abstract
Jellium correction on the fissionability parameter is estimated within a Liquid Drop Model of the charged metallic cluster. This correction modifies the critical condition of fission and, it becomes relevant for small multicharged clusters.
