G.E. Volovik, Tanmay Vachaspati

TL;DR
This paper explores the parallels between the properties of helium-3 and the standard electroweak model, highlighting structural similarities and clarifying cross-disciplinary confusions.
Contribution
It provides a comparative analysis of helium-3 and the electroweak model, elucidating their structural and interactional similarities and resolving common misconceptions.
Findings
Similar order parameter structures in helium-3 and electroweak theory
Analogous defect and interaction features identified
Clarification of confusions between condensed matter and particle physics
Abstract
We describe certain aspects of and compare them to related aspects of the standard electroweak model of particle physics. We note various similarities in the order parameter structure, defect structure, interactions with fermions and anomalies in the two systems. Many issues in the condensed matter literature that are often confusing to the particle physics reader and vice versa are clarified.
