A. J. Millis, Boris I. Shraiman, R. Mueller

TL;DR
This paper presents a model combining dynamic Jahn-Teller and double-exchange effects to explain the resistivity and magnetic transition behaviors in $La_{1-x}Sr_xMnO_3$, shedding light on colossal magnetoresistance phenomena.
Contribution
It introduces a dynamical mean field model that captures the interplay of Jahn-Teller and double-exchange effects in manganites.
Findings
Reproduces resistivity behavior in $La_{1-x}Sr_xMnO_3$
Matches magnetic transition temperatures
Highlights importance of dynamic Jahn-Teller effects
Abstract
A model for which incorporates the physics of dynamic Jahn-Teller and double-exchange effects is presented and solved via a dynamical mean field approximation. In an intermediate coupling regime the interplay of these two effects is found to reproduce the behavior of the resistivity and magnetic transition temperature observed in .
