Effective Action in Theory of Quasi-Ballistic Disordered Conductors
B.A.Muzykantskii, D.E.Khmelnitskii

TL;DR
This paper develops an effective field theory for disordered conductors that captures quantum kinetics of electrons moving ballistically, extending the non-linear sigma model to include quasi-ballistic regimes.
Contribution
It introduces a new effective field theory framework that describes quantum kinetics in quasi-ballistic disordered conductors, bridging ballistic and diffusive regimes.
Findings
The theory recovers the non-linear sigma model in the long wave limit.
It provides a unified description of electron transport in disordered conductors.
The approach enhances understanding of quantum effects in quasi-ballistic systems.
Abstract
We suggest an effective field theory for disorderd conductors, which describes quantum kinetics of ballistically propagating electrons. This theory contains non-linear -model \cite{Efetov} as its long wave limit.
