TL;DR
This paper derives universal formulas for the specific heat of 3D metals near zero-temperature magnetic transitions with various dynamic exponents, enabling comparison between theory and experimental data.
Contribution
It provides new analytical expressions for the specific heat near quantum critical points with different dynamic exponents, facilitating experimental validation.
Findings
Derived universal specific heat expressions for z=2,3,4
Applied formulas to Ce$_{1-x}$Lu$_x$Cu$_2$Si$_2$ data
Enabled quantitative theory-data comparison near quantum criticality
Abstract
We derive expressions for the universal contribution to the specific heat of a three-dimensional metal near a zero-temperature phase transition with dynamic exponent , or 4. The results allow a quantitative comparison of theory to data. We illustrate the application of our results by analyzing data for CeLuCuSi, which has been claimed to be near a quantum critical point.
