C. Lange, A. Kl\"umper, J. Zittartz

TL;DR
This paper presents the exact ground state solution for a class of antiferromagnetic spin-one chains with both nearest and next-nearest neighbor interactions, characterized as a matrix product state with Haldane-like properties.
Contribution
It provides an exact analytical ground state for complex spin chains, extending understanding of Haldane phase characteristics in such systems.
Findings
Exact ground state characterized as a matrix product state
Ground state exhibits properties of the Haldane scenario
Applicable to chains with both nearest and next-nearest neighbor interactions
Abstract
We have found the exact ground state for a large class of antiferromagnetic spin-one chains with nearest and next-nearest neighbour interactions. The ground state is characterized as a matrix product of local site states and has the properties characteristic of the Haldane scenario.
