Claudius Gros, Roser Valenti

TL;DR
This paper investigates spin-charge separation at small lengthscales in the 2D t-J model using projected wavefunctions and structure factors, comparing results with high-temperature expansion data.
Contribution
It introduces analysis of spin-charge separation in the 2D t-J model through various wavefunctions and structure factors, providing new insights into small-scale behavior.
Findings
Evidence of spin-charge separation at small lengthscales
Comparison with high-temperature expansion supports the separation
Analysis of different wavefunctions enhances understanding of the model
Abstract
We consider projected wavefunctions for the 2D model. For various wavefunctions, including correlated Fermi-liquid and Luttinger-type wavefunctions we present the static charge-charge and spin-spin structure factors. Comparison with recent results from a high-temperature expansion by Putikka {\it et al.} indicates spin-charge separation at small lengthscales.
