Ferromagnetism of the 1-D Kondo Lattice Model: A Quantum Monte Carlo Study
Matthias Troyer, Diethelm W\"urtz

TL;DR
This paper investigates the one-dimensional Kondo lattice model using Quantum Monte Carlo methods, revealing ferromagnetic order at strong coupling and RKKY-like behavior at weak coupling.
Contribution
It provides a detailed quantum Monte Carlo analysis of the ferromagnetic and RKKY regimes in the 1D Kondo lattice model, highlighting the conditions for different magnetic behaviors.
Findings
Ferromagnetic order at strong coupling
RKKY-like behavior at weak coupling
Quantum Monte Carlo effectively captures magnetic phases
Abstract
The one dimensional Kondo lattice model is investigated using Quantum Monte Carlo and transfer matrix techniques. In the strong coupling region ferromagnetic ordering is found even at large band fillings. In the weak coupling region the system shows an RKKY like behavior.
