de Haas-van Alphen effect versus Integer Quantum Hall effect
V.P.Mineev

TL;DR
This paper explores the connection between Landau diamagnetism, de Haas-van Alphen oscillations, and the Integer Quantum Hall effect using a statistical mechanics framework for 2D metals.
Contribution
It introduces a unified approach linking these phenomena, highlighting their interrelationship within a 2D metal system.
Findings
Demonstrates the relationship between Landau diamagnetism and quantum Hall effects.
Shows how de Haas-van Alphen oscillations relate to the Integer Quantum Hall effect.
Provides a theoretical framework connecting magnetic oscillations and quantized conductance.
Abstract
In frame of general stastical mechanics approach applied to 2D metal bar we demonstrate the interrelationship between Landau diamagnetism, de Haas-van Alphen magnetization oscillations and the Integer Quantum Hall effect.
