Spin Hall Effect For Anyons
S.Dhar, B.Basu, Subir Ghosh (Indian Statistical Institute)

TL;DR
This paper explores the intrinsic spin Hall effect in anyons, modeled as spinning particles in non-commutative space, emphasizing the role of Berry curvature in their dynamics under electromagnetic fields.
Contribution
It introduces a novel framework for understanding the spin Hall effect in anyons using non-commutative geometry and Berry curvature effects.
Findings
Demonstrates the intrinsic spin Hall effect in anyon models.
Highlights the significance of Berry curvature in anyon dynamics.
Provides a theoretical basis for spin transport in anyonic systems.
Abstract
We explain the intrinsic spin Hall effect from generic anyon dynamics in the presence of external electromagnetic field. The free anyon is represented as a spinning particle with an underlying non-commutative configuration space. The Berry curvature plays a major role in the analysis.
