Effects of boundaries in mesoscopic superconductors
Antonio R. de C. Romaguera, Mauro M. Doria, F. M. Peeters

TL;DR
This paper investigates how the boundaries of a mesoscopic superconducting disk affect the decay of the order parameter near edges in the presence of an applied magnetic field, focusing on three-dimensional vortex states.
Contribution
It provides new insights into boundary effects on the order parameter decay in mesoscopic superconductors with three-dimensional vortex configurations.
Findings
Boundaries significantly influence order parameter decay near edges.
The study characterizes vortex states in a mesoscopic disk under magnetic field.
Boundary effects vary with vortex configuration and disk dimensions.
Abstract
A thin superconducting disk, with radius and height , is studied in the presence of an applied magnetic field parallel to its major axis. We study how the boundaries influence the decay of the order parameter near the edges for three-dimensional vortex states.
