Cody P. Nave, Sung-Sik Lee, Patrick A. Lee

TL;DR
This paper investigates a U(1) gauge field coupled to a spinon Fermi surface, analyzing its susceptibility and the impact of spin liquid pairing, to explain experimental observations in a specific organic compound.
Contribution
It provides a theoretical analysis of the susceptibility in a U(1) gauge coupled spinon Fermi surface model, including effects of pairing, aligning with experimental data.
Findings
The model's susceptibility matches experimental measurements.
Pairing of the spin liquid affects the susceptibility.
The theory supports the proposed description of the organic compound.
Abstract
We study the theory of a U(1) gauge field coupled to a spinon Fermi surface. Recently this model has been proposed as a possible description of the organic compound . We calculate the susceptibility of this system and in particular examine the effect of pairing of the underlying spin liquid. We show that this proposed theory is consistent with the observed susceptibility measurements.
