Tsutomu Momoi, Nic Shannon

TL;DR
This paper investigates the potential for nematic order near a ferromagnetic phase in a multiple-spin exchange model on a triangular lattice, analyzing both classical and quantum spin limits.
Contribution
It explores the emergence of nematic order in the model, providing insights into classical and quantum spin behaviors near ferromagnetic phases.
Findings
Potential nematic order identified near FM phase
Analysis of classical and quantum limits
Insights into spin exchange interactions
Abstract
We discuss the possibility of finding n-type nematic order in the vicinity of a FM phase in the multiple--spin exchange model on the triangular lattice. We study this problem both from S=\infty (classical) and S=1/2 (quantum) limits.
