From E_{2g} to other modes : Effects of pressure on electron-phonon interaction in MgB_2
Prabhakar P. Singh

TL;DR
This paper investigates how pressure influences electron-phonon interactions in MgB_2, revealing superconductivity suppression at 100 GPa and reemergence at higher pressures with a low T_c around 137 GPa.
Contribution
It provides the first detailed density-functional-based analysis of pressure effects on MgB_2's superconductivity and predicts its reappearance at ultra-high pressures.
Findings
Superconductivity vanishes at 100 GPa
Reappears at pressures above 100 GPa
Predicted T_c of ~2 K at 137 GPa
Abstract
We study the effects of pressure on the electron-phonon interaction in MgB_2 using density-functional-based methods. Our results show that the superconductivity in MgB_2 vanishes by 100 GPa, and then reappears at higher pressures. In particular, we find a superconducting transition temperature T_c \~ 2 K for mu*=0.1 at a pressure of 137 GPa.
