P. N. Bibikov, M. I. Vyazovsky

TL;DR
This paper investigates the origin of a second coherent peak in the dynamical structure factor of an asymmetric spin ladder, providing theoretical confirmation and a new interpretation for experimental data in a specific compound.
Contribution
It introduces a theoretical explanation for the second coherent peak in asymmetric spin ladders and offers a new interpretation of neutron scattering data in CuHpCl.
Findings
First-order calculation confirms the peak's origin due to asymmetry.
Proposes a new interpretation for neutron scattering data.
Links the peak to the asymmetric spin ladder structure.
Abstract
Appearance of the second coherent peak in the dynamical structure factor of an asymmetric spin ladder is suggested. The general arguments are confirmed by the first order (with respect to the asymmetry) calculation for a spin ladder with singlet-rung ground state. Basing on this result a new interpretation is proposed for the inelastic neutron scattering data in the spin gap compound CuHpCl.
