Kartick Tarafder, Atisdipankar Chakrabarti, Kamal Krishna Saha and, Abhijit Mookerjee

TL;DR
This paper investigates how short-range atomic ordering influences the electronic and optical properties of CuZn alloys using an advanced theoretical approach.
Contribution
It introduces an augmented space recursion method combined with tight-binding LMTO basis to study alloy properties considering short-range order.
Findings
Short-range order significantly affects electronic structure.
Optical properties are sensitive to atomic arrangements.
The method provides detailed insights into alloy behavior.
Abstract
We report here a study of the effect of short-ranged ordering on the electronic structure and optical properties of CuZn alloys. We shall use the augmented space recursion technique developed by us in conjunction with the tight-binding linear muffin tin orbitals basis.
