TL;DR
This paper introduces a method for directly measuring the magnetic penetration length in ultra-thin and mesoscopic superconducting structures across a broad frequency range, enabling precise characterization of their electromagnetic properties.
Contribution
The paper presents a novel measurement technique for directly determining the magnetic penetration length in thin superconducting structures over a wide frequency spectrum.
Findings
Effective measurement of penetration length in thin superconductors.
Applicable across broadband magnetic fields from dc to MHz.
Enables detailed electromagnetic characterization of mesoscopic superconductors.
Abstract
We describe a method for direct measurement of the magnetic penetration length in thin (10 - 100 nm) superconducting structures having overall dimensions in the range 1 to 100 micrometers. The method is applicable for broadband magnetic fields from dc to MHz frequencies.
