Non-Positive $\alpha$ Rule for Continuous Phase Transition Lines
Nikolay Prokof'ev, Boris Svistunov

TL;DR
This paper investigates the assumptions about the Helmholtz free energy structure in continuous phase transitions, questioning the insensitivity to the sign of the specific heat exponent, but it has been withdrawn due to logical flaws.
Contribution
It challenges the conventional belief that the regular part of Helmholtz free energy is unaffected by the sign of the specific heat exponent in phase transitions.
Findings
Questioned the insensitivity assumption of free energy structure
Identified a possible flaw in the logical foundation of previous theories
Paper withdrawn due to identified flaw
Abstract
This paper has been withdrawn by the authors, due to a possible flaw in its logic. Namely, it has been taken for granted that the the structure of regular part of Helmholtz free energy is insensitive to the sign of the specific heat exponent.
