Brownian refrigerator
C. Van den Broeck, R. Kawai

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that a Brownian motor can function as a refrigerator driven by a temperature gradient, supported by analytical calculations and molecular dynamics simulations.
Contribution
It provides an exact analytical model showing the refrigerator function of a Brownian motor and validates it with simulations.
Findings
Analytical calculation of heat flux in a Brownian refrigerator
Validation of the model with molecular dynamics simulations
Confirmation of Onsager symmetry implications
Abstract
Onsager symmetry implies that a Brownian motor, driven by a temperature gradient, will also perform a refrigerator function upon loading. We analytically calculate the corresponding heat flux for an exactly solvable microscopic model and compare it with molecular dynamics simulations.
