Synchronizabilities of Networks: A New index
Huijie Yang, Fangcui Zhao, Binghong Wang

TL;DR
This paper introduces a new index for measuring network synchronizability, using random matrix theory to connect network structure with dynamical synchronization processes, highlighting how network structure can enhance synchronization.
Contribution
It proposes a novel dynamical-based index for network synchronizability, bridging network structure and dynamics through random matrix theory.
Findings
New index effectively measures network synchronizability.
Network structure can enhance synchronization processes.
Theoretical framework links network topology with dynamical behavior.
Abstract
The random matrix theory is used to bridge the network structures and the dynamical processes defined on them. We propose a possible dynamical mechanism for the enhancement effect of network structures on synchronization processes, based upon which a dynamic-based index of the synchronizability is introduced in the present paper.
