De Haas-van Alphen effect in metals without inversion center
V. P. Mineev, K. V. Samokhin

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates how the de Haas-van Alphen effect can be employed to measure spin-orbit coupling strength in non-centrosymmetric metals, providing a new experimental approach for such materials.
Contribution
It introduces a method to directly quantify spin-orbit coupling in non-centrosymmetric metals using the de Haas-van Alphen effect.
Findings
Spin-orbit coupling can be measured via de Haas-van Alphen oscillations.
Applicable to materials like CePt3Si and LaPt3Si.
Provides a direct experimental technique for non-centrosymmetric metals.
Abstract
We show how the de Haas-van Alphen effect can be used to directly measure the magnitude of spin-orbit coupling in non-centrosymmetric metals, such as CePt3Si and LaPt3Si.
