Magnetic Phases of Rare Earth Hexagonal Manganites
S. H. Curnoe, I. Munawar

TL;DR
This paper models the magnetic phases of hexagonal rare earth manganites RMnO3 using Landau theory and a minimal four-parameter model to understand their magnetic behavior.
Contribution
It introduces a simplified Landau theory-based model with four order parameters to describe magnetic phases in RMnO3 compounds.
Findings
Identification of magnetic phase transitions in RMnO3
Development of a minimal theoretical model
Insights into magnetic ordering mechanisms
Abstract
We describe the magnetic phases of hexagonal rare earth manganites RMnO3 using Landau theory. A minimal model based on four one-dimensional magnetic order parameters is developed.
