Why and when the Minkowski's stress tensor can be used in the problem of Casimir force acting on bodies embedded in media
L.P. Pitaevskii

TL;DR
This paper clarifies the conditions under which the Minkowski stress tensor can be correctly used to calculate Casimir forces in media, addressing and correcting previous misunderstandings and criticisms.
Contribution
It demonstrates the validity of using the Minkowski-like stress tensor in specific conditions for Casimir force calculations, countering prior criticisms.
Findings
Minkowski stress tensor is valid under certain conditions for media
Criticism by Raabe and Welsch is based on misunderstandings
Clarifies the theoretical framework for Casimir forces in media
Abstract
It is shown that the criticism by Raabe and Welsch of the Dzyaloshinskii-Lifshitz-Pitaevskii theory of the van der Waals-Casimir forces inside a medium is based on misunderstandings. It is explained why and at which conditions one can use the ''Minkowski-like '' stress tensor for calculations of the forces. The reason, why approach of Raabe and Welsch is incorrect, is discussed.
