TL;DR
This paper investigates the phonon modes of monoclinic BiB3O6 using polarized reflectivity measurements and a generalized Drude-Lorentz model to distinguish modes of different symmetries.
Contribution
It provides a detailed analysis of phonon modes in BiB3O6, resolving A and B symmetry modes through polarized spectra and modeling.
Findings
Identification of phonon modes of different symmetries
Use of generalized Drude-Lorentz model for spectral analysis
Enhanced understanding of BiB3O6 vibrational properties
Abstract
We present a detailed study of the phonon modes of the monoclinic compound BiB3O6 based on polarized reflectivity measurements on single crystals. The spectra are analysed by means of a generalized Drude-Lorentz model, which allows us to resolve the modes of A and B symmetry.
