TL;DR
This paper clarifies and resolves previous issues in calculating the RKKY range function for a one-dimensional non-interacting electron gas at zero temperature by properly addressing the impurity potential.
Contribution
It introduces a correct method for handling the impurity potential, fixing earlier calculation pitfalls in the RKKY range function for 1D electron gases.
Findings
Resolved previous calculation issues in RKKY range function
Provided a proper handling method for impurity potential
Enhanced understanding of magnetic interactions in 1D electron systems
Abstract
We show that the pitfalls encountered in earlier calculations of the RKKY range function for a non interacting one dimensional electron gas at zero temperature can be unraveled and successfully dealt with through a proper handling of the impurity potential.
