Comment on "Multiple Bosonic Mode Coupling in Electron Self-Energy of (La$_{2-x}$Sr$_x$)CuO$_4$"
T. Valla

TL;DR
This paper critiques previous claims of fine structure in electron self-energy data for (La$_{2-x}$Sr$_x$)CuO$_4$, suggesting it is likely due to experimental noise rather than physical phenomena.
Contribution
The authors reanalyze existing spectral data and demonstrate that the reported fine structures are inconsistent with physical constraints, challenging prior interpretations.
Findings
Reported fine structures are likely noise artifacts
Recalculated spectral response shows less structure
Questions previous claims of multiple bosonic mode coupling
Abstract
We calculate the photoemission spectral response using the extracted of Zhou et al (cond-mat/0405130) as an input and we find that the reported Re has more strucure than physically possible. Therefore, the "fine structure" most likely reflects the experimental noise.
