TL;DR
This paper reviews the theoretical foundations, key results, and open problems in the semiclassical theory of dense matter, focusing on high-pressure material behavior studied in Serbia during the late 20th century.
Contribution
It provides a comprehensive overview of the semiclassical approach to dense matter and highlights unresolved issues in the field.
Findings
Summary of theoretical foundations
Examples of high-pressure material results
Identification of open research problems
Abstract
This is a review of studies of the behaviour of materials under high pressure in Serbia in the second half of the last century.Theoretical foundations are presented,as well as some examples of the results and a selection of the open problems.
