TL;DR
This paper demonstrates quantum tunneling of the Neel vector in an antiferromagnetic molecular cluster using neutron scattering, providing evidence of mesoscopic quantum coherence and coherent tunneling phenomena.
Contribution
It presents experimental evidence of mesoscopic quantum coherence in antiferromagnetic molecular clusters through neutron scattering analysis.
Findings
Evidence of quantum tunneling of the Neel vector
Linewidth analysis indicates coherent tunneling
First demonstration of mesoscopic quantum coherence in such systems
Abstract
From inelastic neutron scattering experiments, we demonstrate quantum tunneling of the Neel vector in the antiferromagnetic molecular ferric wheel CsFe8. Analysis of the linewidth of the tunneling transition evidences coherent tunneling.
