G. M. Shmelev, E. N.Valgutskova, E. M. Epshtein

TL;DR
This paper investigates second harmonic generation in superlattices with carrier density gradients, showing that the second harmonic can be as intense as the fundamental harmonic under certain conditions.
Contribution
It introduces the effect of carrier density gradients on second harmonic generation in superlattices, highlighting a significant enhancement of the second harmonic.
Findings
Second harmonic intensity can match the fundamental harmonic.
Carrier density gradients significantly influence harmonic generation.
Potential for improved nonlinear optical devices.
Abstract
In present work, we investigate the second harmonic generation in a superlattice under presence of the carrier density gradient. We show that the second harmonic intensity can be comparable with that of the current fundamental harmonic in that case.
