Bose-Einstein Condensation in Geometrically Deformed Tubes
Pavel Exner, Valentin A. Zagrebnov

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that Bose-Einstein condensates can be achieved in quasi-one-dimensional systems through geometric deformation of the confining tube, such as bending.
Contribution
It introduces a novel method of inducing Bose-Einstein condensation via geometrical deformation rather than traditional temperature or interaction controls.
Findings
Condensation can be triggered by bending the tube.
Geometrical deformation affects the quantum states in the system.
Purely geometric methods can induce quantum phase transitions.
Abstract
We show that Bose-Einstein condensate can be created in quasi-one-dimensional systems in a purely geometrical way, namely by bending or other suitable deformation of a tube.
