Langevin equation with Coulomb friction
Hisao Hayakawa

TL;DR
This paper introduces a Langevin model incorporating Coulomb friction and analyzes its steady-state velocity distribution under external forces using the Fokker-Planck equation.
Contribution
The paper develops a Langevin model with Coulomb friction and derives the steady velocity distribution analytically.
Findings
Derived the steady velocity distribution function.
Analyzed the impact of Coulomb friction on particle dynamics.
Provided insights into non-linear friction effects in stochastic models.
Abstract
We propose a Langevin model with Coulomb friction. Through the analysis of the corresponding Fokker-Planck equation, we have obtained the steady velocity distribution function under the influence of the external field.
