You-Quan Li, Guan-Shan Tian, Michael Ma, and Hai-Qing Lin

TL;DR
This paper rigorously analyzes a four-component Hubbard-like model, demonstrating that its ground state is unique and its excitations are gapless across all band fillings, using the Lieb-Schultz-Mattis approach.
Contribution
It provides a rigorous proof of the nondegeneracy of the ground state and the gapless nature of excitations in this multi-component fermion model.
Findings
Ground state is nondegenerate
Excitations are gapless at all band fillings
Uses Lieb-Schultz-Mattis approach for proof
Abstract
The properties of the ground state and excitations of a four-component Hubbard-like model are studied by the Lieb-Schultz-Mattis approach. It is proven rigorously that the ground state of the model is nondegenerate and excitations are gapless at all band fillings.
