TL;DR
This paper introduces a comprehensive model for analyzing the density of states and Cooper pair potential in superconducting bi- and tri-layer films, validated through superconducting tunnel junctions.
Contribution
It provides a generalized theoretical framework for proximity effects in layered superconducting structures, extending previous models.
Findings
Model accurately predicts density of states in layered films
Validates the approach using superconducting tunnel junctions
Offers a versatile tool for designing superconducting devices
Abstract
This paper presents a general model for calculating the density of states and the Cooper pair potential in proximity coupled superconducting bi- and tri-layer films. The typical example of superconducting tunnel junctions is used to show that the model is working.
