D.V.Dmitriev, V.Ya.Krivnov

TL;DR
This paper investigates the phase diagram of weakly coupled XXZ chains in a transverse magnetic field using mean-field approximation and exact results, applying findings to the compound Cs2CoCl4 to estimate interchain interactions.
Contribution
It introduces a combined approach of mean-field and exact methods to analyze the phase diagram of quasi-one-dimensional anisotropic Heisenberg models in a transverse field.
Findings
Phase diagram characterized for weakly coupled XXZ chains.
Estimated interchain interaction in Cs2CoCl4.
Validates the effective one-dimensional model approach.
Abstract
The phase diagram of weakly coupled chains in a transverse magnetic field is studied using the mean-field approximation for the interchain coupling and known exact results for an effective one-dimensional model. Results are applied to the quasi-one-dimensional antiferromagnet and the value of interchain interaction in this compound is estimated.
