Grand canonical ensemble in generalized thermostatistics
Jan Naudts, Erik Van der Straeten

TL;DR
This paper explores the grand-canonical ensemble within generalized thermostatistics, examining different entropy functionals and applying the framework to the ideal gas to understand its implications.
Contribution
It introduces a generalized approach to the grand-canonical ensemble by considering various entropy functionals, expanding the theoretical foundation of thermostatistics.
Findings
Different entropy functionals analyzed for grand-canonical ensemble
Application to ideal gas demonstrates theoretical implications
Provides a generalized framework for fluctuating degrees of freedom
Abstract
We study the grand-canonical ensemble with a fluctuating number of degrees of freedom in the context of generalized thermostatistics. Several choices of grand-canonical entropy functional are considered. The ideal gas is taken as an example.
