TL;DR
This paper reports the experimental observation of Bose-Einstein condensation of lithium-6 molecules near a Feshbach resonance, measuring scattering properties and analyzing cloud expansion across the BEC-BCS crossover.
Contribution
It provides the first experimental measurement of molecule-molecule scattering length in lithium-6 near a Feshbach resonance and studies the cloud expansion in the crossover region.
Findings
Bose-Einstein condensation of lithium-6 molecules achieved
Measured molecule-molecule scattering length of approximately 170 nm
Analyzed cloud expansion behavior across the BEC-BCS crossover
Abstract
We report Bose-Einstein condensation of weakly bound Limolecules in a crossed optical trap near a Feshbach resonance. We measure a molecule-molecule scattering length of nm at 770 G, in good agreement with theory. We study the expansion of the cloud in the BEC-BCS crossoverregion.
