Glassy dynamics in the HMF model
Alessandro Pluchino, Vito Latora, Andrea Rapisarda

TL;DR
This paper explores the glassy dynamics observed in the quasi-stationary states of the HMF model, highlighting the influence of initial conditions and linking these phenomena to Tsallis nonextensive thermostatistics.
Contribution
It introduces a detailed analysis of glassy behavior in the HMF model's QSS and connects it with nonextensive statistical mechanics, providing new insights into long-range interacting systems.
Findings
Glassy dynamics occur in the QSS of the HMF model
Initial conditions significantly affect the system's behavior
Connections are established between QSS dynamics and Tsallis statistics
Abstract
We discuss the glassy dynamics recently found in the meta-equilibrium quasi stationary states (QSS) of the HMF model. The relevance of the initial conditions and the connection with Tsallis nonextensive thermostatistics is also addressed.
